Alexei Butirskiy

Born in Moscow in 1974, Alexei Butirskiy entered Moscow Art College in 1992. In 1996 he finished his studies at the Art College and graduated with an Excellence Diploma. In 1998 he completed the Russian Academy of the Arts where he studied under respected professor L.S. Hasyanova.

Art-Salon at the Manezh in Moscow. From 1998 to 2000, he had six one-man shows in the Central House of Artists, and in 2001 his work was featured as part of the Russian Post-Impressionism auctions in London.

Since 1996, Butirskiy has participated in over 10 exhibitions, one man shows and auctions both in Russia and in England and over 25 shows in the United States.

Most recently, Alexei has concentrated his efforts primarily on representing urban life around him in truthful and unglorified terms. A sense of tranquility is conveyed in each of his paintings. The power and intensity of the relationship between light and dark are the profound forces of his work. The sophisticated application of light effects with color reinforce the majesty of his compositions. Butirskiy’s paintings are reminiscent of the works of Claude de Lorraines and Caravaggio with their luminescent qualities and skillful variations of light and dark.

Alexei Butirskiy’s ability to combine architecture, color and format is a refined skill normally reserved for artists much his senior. As a result, he ranks among Russia’s top emerging artists. His work has been successfully exhibitied in galleries and private collections through France, England, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Russia and the United States.

Mario Jung

Born in 1949 in Seoul, South Korea, Mario has been a member of the Seoul Artist Association for more than 30 years and has received grand prize honors in the category of Western Art from the association’s Exhibition of Fine Artists.

Mario’s landscape painting surfaces are rich and sumptuous. The landscapes are so dimensional; it entices the viewer to want to touch the rich color canvas. His still life realism paintings give a bigger than life view of the fruits that we enjoy.

Working in a multitude of genres, Mario’s emerging popularity is heightened by his ability to create a diverse range of work from classic and realistic stills, popular among Nu Realists collectors, to passionate impastos with richly textured details.
